Most Important Stretch for Sedentary Lifestyles!!!!

So most recently I've been working stretches for flexibility. I still have my splits, but the most important stretch is the spine stretch forward. That. Stretch. The spine stretch forward is the best stretch, in my opinion, because I feel it in my face, my head, my neck, back, glutes, and hamstrings all at the same time. When I do the spine stretch forward, I feel an immense amount of tension all over my body, but when its over I feel brand new. It wakes me up. I feel it in my brain. I literally feel like I just stretched my brain. Everyone should start their day with this stretch, especially for the work week.

How to Feel Beautiful After Having a Baby

1. Laugh and enjoy the company of people that make you feel good. Listen to music together. Have a small fire pit (without the baby) or get together for a meal. Pass the baby around. 2. Exercise-Getting your heart rate moving and blood pumping is the best way to feel alive and well (my definition of beautiful). 3. Drink fluids- This will help with night sweats, and overall 4. Limit low energy foods like processed preserved and fast foods 5. Increase high energy foods like vegetables, fruits and raw nuts (see the link to my postpartum smoothie) 6. Get fresh air- my favorite way to get fresh air is to put the baby in the stroller and go for a walk on the second steepest hill in town. Note I said the second steepest hill. I'm not ready for the big one. 7. Wear a belly wrap- not to feel skinny, but to feel together and collected. Aruyvedic medicine advises tying a scarf around the belly to eliminate the empty feeling one may get after having a baby. Also recommended in that pract...

Which Team?

I love visiting Dallas. I live in Massachusetts. My favorite cheer team is i  Houston. The team with the best uniform is in Dallas. Dallas also has the strictest competition. They are all strict about who represents their teams so... Im not sure. We'll see.

Starting to Vlog

I really can be camera shy. Public speaking, not a chance. But I decided to document my efforts to prepare for cheerleading tryouts. I don't have the latest camera gear and I probably won't go out and buy cameras. Especially if as many people that read my blog (zero) watch my videos. I mean I see a few views. But that's because watching videos is less effort than reading. So what's the plan? Well, I wanted to document the weight loss, but the baby weight is fleeting. Meaning, the weight left the building at 10 days post partum, and I didn't get the chance to document-film it. Dance team tryouts are around the corner and I have more cheer experience than dance. But I almost look ready to tryout today. All I need is a last minute make over (hair, nails, and eyelashes) and I think I'm ready. So I don't know what the plan is. Yikes!
